Standard First Aid CPR Online Course is now available.  To obtain your full certificate, participants must complete the online component, then book their in-class training training before Dec 31, 2021.  This course is comprehensive offering life-saving first aid and CPR skills for adults in the workplace or home. APRIL 2021 UPDATE: In keeping with the safety protocols within Ontario, First Aid CPR is classified as an ESSENTIAL SERVICE and we continue to provide courses under the required Provincial Regulations.
  • Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, WSIB has granted First Aid Providers in Ontario to issue a temporary certification option through online training for Emergency First Aid and Standard First Aid.
  • WSIB has granted an extension to any previously existing certification that would have expired after March 1st, 2020. This extension ends on December 31st, 2021. *
  • As of April 1st, 2021 ANY EXPIRED RED CROSS CERTIFICATE WILL REQUIRE A NEW CERTIFICATION

 

Standard First Aid Level A Online Learning is a self-study first aid course that can be completed in approximately 3 hours from home or work. Participants complete the online portion of the course and then book the in-class session with ANY Red Cross Training Partner.  The in-class portion MUST be completed prior to December 31, 2021 in order to obtain a FULL certification. Once participants begin their online training, the online course fees are non-refundable.

Upon completion of the Standard First Aid Online course, a TEMPORARY certificate of completion is issued. This temporary certification WILL EXPIRE on December 31st, 2021 if the in-class portion of the training remains incomplete.

Participants can complete their in-class training with ANY Red Cross Training Provider (additional in-class course fees may vary depending on the Provider selected).

 

COURSE CONTENT

This Standard First Aid Level A Online course offers basic life-saving first aid and CPR skills for adults in the workplace or home. This online course is developed by the Red Cross and meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and resuscitation (CPR) guidelines.

COURSE COMPLETION

  • 100% completion of this 6-hours online component before the in-class session
  • 100% attendance in this 6-8.5 hour in-class course BEFORE December 31, 2021
  • Participants must be able to comprehend and successfully demonstrate all required skills
  • A minimum of 75% must be achieved on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation
  • Participants must adhere to the Red Cross Fundamental Principles while in the course

  • First Aid Mini Manual (digital copy emailed to you after registration)
  • Standard First Aid CPR Level Online Certificate, valid until Dec 31, 2021
  • Standard First Aid CPR Level A certificate, valid three years, from date of in-class completion
