Standard First Aid CPR Level A Blended Learning

APRIL 2021 UPDATE: In keeping with the safety protocols within Ontario, First Aid CPR is classified as an ESSENTIAL SERVICE and we continue to provide courses under the required Provincial Regulations.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, WSIB has granted First Aid Providers in Ontario to provide a temporary certification option through blended and online training. Furthermore, WSIB has granted an extension to any previously existing certification that would have expired after March 1st, 2020. This extension ends on December 31st, 2021.* PLEASE NOTE that As of April 1st, 2021 ANY EXPIRED RED CROSS CERTIFICATE WILL REQUIRE A NEW CERTIFICATION.  

 

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Traditionally we have provided both on-site training and public courses. Due to COVID-19, we are unable to provide public courses at this time. Once we are able to resume our public courses, you will be notified with flexible scheduling options. In the meantime, online and Blended Learning courses are always available. 

 

This temporary certification option WILL EXPIRE on December 31st, 2021 if the in-class portion of the training is not completed. Participants can complete their online training and attend ANY RED CROSS TRAINING PROVIDER of their choosing.

 

Standard First Aid CPR Level A Blended Learning course is developed by the Red Cross and is WSIB approved.  The traditional two-day course is now broken into two segments.  Theoretical concepts are completed online and the hands-on skills checks are covered in a classroom setting.  Participants must successfully complete the online portion of the course prior to attending their in-class segment. Computer and internet access is required.  Participants learn to provide first aid for adults.
