Description

This CPR AED Level C Recertification Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and resuscitation guidelines.  Participants gain hands-on experience with the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) on adults, children, and babies.

APRIL 2021 UPDATE: In keeping with the safety protocols within Ontario, First Aid CPR is classified as an ESSENTIAL SERVICE and we continue to provide courses under the required Provincial Regulations. 
Traditionally we have provided both on-site training and public courses. Due to COVID-19, we are unable to provide public courses at this time. Once we are able to resume our public courses, you will be notified with flexible scheduling options. In the meantime, online and Blended Learning courses are always available.
CPR AED Level C Recertification course meets all legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and resuscitation guidelines.  Participants gain hands-on experience with the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) on adults, children, and babies.
This CPR AED Level C Recertification Course is ideal for those who already have a Red Cross CPR card and need to update.  Candidates are able to recertify every three years although some workplaces may require this course renewed annually to maintain their compliance safety standards (such as construction workers, supervisors, personal support workers, volunteers and students).

  • Responding to Emergencies
  • Check, Call, Care
  • Recovery position
  • Choking – adult, children, babies
  • Assisting with medications
  • Angina and heart attack
  • Stroke
  • CPR and AED– adult, children, and babies
  • Deadly bleeding and the use of tourniquets
  • Includes any other content required by specific legislation

COURSE COMPLETION

  • Participants must be able to comprehend and successfully demonstrate all required skills, including critical steps
  • 100% attendance for this 4-hour course and individual participation is mandatory for all participants
  • Participants must practice and adhere to Red Cross Fundamental Principles while in the course

  • CPR Level A or C Factsheet 2017
  • CPR AED Mini Manual (digital copy emailed after registration)
  • CPR AED Level C Recertification Course Certificate, valid three years
