Description

Standard First Aid Level C Blended Learning is WSIB Ontario approved. This new blended learning course has two parts: theoretical concepts are completed online and the hands-on skills checks are covered in a classroom setting. This course is ideal for pharmacists, police services, RCMP personnel, daycare providers, students, volunteers, supervisors, coaches, teachers or anyone who would like more comprehensive training.

The Standard First Aid CPR Level C Blended Learning course is developed by the Red Cross and  WSIB Ontario approved.  This Standard First aid Level C course is traditionally a comprehensive two-day course but now offered as a blended learning course.
It is broken down into two parts; theoretical concepts are completed online and the hands-on skills checks are covered in a classroom setting.  Participants must successfully complete the online portion of the course prior to attending the in-class segment. Computer and internet access is required.  Participants learn to provide first aid for adults, children and babies.
This Standard First Aid CPR Level C Blended Learning course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.  This course is ideal for pharmacists, police services, RCMP personnel, daycare providers, students, volunteers, supervisors, coaches, teachers or anyone who would like more comprehensive training.

  • Airway emergencies for adults, children, and babies
  • Breathing Emergencies
  • Circulation emergencies & Deadly Bleeding
  • First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest for adults, children, and babies
  • Wound care
  • Head and Spine Injuries
  • Bone, muscle and joint injuries
  • Sudden Medical Emergencies
  • Environmental Emergencies
  • Poisons
  • Includes any other content required by specific legislation

Course Completion

  • Participants must complete the online course prior to the in-class segment. Proof of completion of the online portion is mandatory.
  • Participants must comprehend and successfully demonstrate all required skills and critical steps
  • 100% attendance of this 8 hour, one-day course and individual participation is mandatory
  • Participants must achieve a minimum of 75% on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation
  • Participants must adhere to the Red Cross Fundamental Fundamental Principles while in the course
