Parents everywhere posted their child’s “back to school” image on social media this week. There were endless images of smiling faces, crisp clean back packs and shiny shoes. For some, going back to school is a welcomed event; many are reunited with friends after a long summer. For others, it’s sniffles and tears as first timers leave the nest and enter the world of education. But for some, it’s a place of agony and fear of returning to a place where they were bullied.
The Canadian Red Cross has made a concerted effort to provide valuable resources and tools to help identify, prevent and stop the cycle of hurt that takes place on a daily basis within many school systems.
